Tsunami alert system is supposed to act quickly, accurately and evolve its decision with respect to past (long and near) assessments.

Thus:

(i) A real time operating system (RTOS) is the most suitable for such systems with a GUI depicting impact possibility and time.

(ii) For a local tsunami systems, its must have remote backup facility (in order to safe-gaurd against the worst possibility of local damage) along with a local storage medium to assist predictive analysis as quick as possible with high RAM and ROM amount. A mechanism for continuous updating to remote backup must also be installed.

(iii) Read, write and append operations must be enabled as a file operation, to analyze recorded data, update incoming data and insert additional information received from any other source or center.
