To insert an image to a word document, we can either copy the image and directly paste the image at the cursor position, or we can go to insert tab and select insert image to insert image at the cursor position.

Advantage of having image in your word document can be that it not only makes the document illustrative but it also makes the document interesting.

I don't see any potential problems while inserting images in a word document, as we can resize it according to our needs and document space is not hampered in this way.
