SUBJECT: IT-244: Introduction to Database

Q: Assume that you have a Saudi league player database. In this database, you have a table containing players’ attributes such as (Name, age, position, etc.) and you decided to add information about players’ agents. Would you represent the agent information as attributes in the player table or would you create an entity set for players’ agents? Justify your answer.

• Assuming that the database contains details of many other player, I would prefer adding information as an attribute in players table.
• Presuming that the agent may represent other players in the league and their is no other major attribute for the agent, it would be easy to keep track of which types players he is representing and it would keep the database minimilistic and clean.
