Answer #1

It is considered that the most of the data in an organisation is recognised as dark which means that they are either of no use or outdated and taking storage space on the disk.It is roughly estimated that redundant data and its cost may be in trillions. It can also restrict the organisation to switch to new technologies and may affect its progress.

File archiving may give an answer to solution to the problem of storing and managing redundant data.Archiving the data can improve reliability and efficiency of the server.Cloud storage of information can make the problem easier as it analyses and identifies the expontentially growing amount of data in the organization.

It becomes necessary to maintain the redundant data as its always easier to handle and maintain unique data and it also protects data from being corrupted.
