Design a sequential circuit with two J-K flip-flops P and M and two inputs E and X. If E = 1, the circuit remains in the same state, regardless of the value of X. When E = 0 and X = 1, the circuit goes through the state transitions from 00 to 01 to 10 to 11, back to 00, and then repeats. When E = 0 and X = 0, the circuit goes through the state transitions from 00 to 11 to 10 to 01, back to 00, and then repeats.

a.) What is the circuit's state table?

b.) What are the the input equations for Jm and Km in SOP?

Design a sequential circuit which has an input line x and an output line y. The circuit receives input from a single source in the form of a string of ‘1’ s and 0’s . The output goes to ‘1’ once three consecutive ‘1’s are seen on the input, and remains 1 as long as it continues to receive ‘1’ on the input line. If it receives a ‘0’ the output goes to ‘0’ again.. We wish to design a digital system with two flip-flops, say B and C, and one 10 bit binary Counter A, in which the individual flip-flops are denoted by A10, A9, A8, A7, A6, A5, A4, A3, A2, A1. A start signal S initiates the system operation by clearing the counter A and flip-flop C, and setting flip-flop B to one. The counter is then incremented by one starting from the next clock pulse and continues to increment until the...

Design a FSM for a Vending Machine In this task, you will design a FSM for a simple (albeit strange) vending machine of office supplies. The vending machine sells three possible items, each at a different cost: Item Cost Pencil 10 cents Eraser 20 cents Pen 30 cents The vending machines accepts nickels (worth 5 cents), dimes (worth 10 cents), and quarters (worth 25 cents). Physically, it is only possible to insert a single coin at a time. The vending...
