to connect computers on same network using a cable:

step 1: we can connect LAN cable to connect two computers

step 2: make sure to connect the cable properly.

step 3: after connecting to the network, it will start to search the network.

step 4: now in first pc we need open the network sharing center.

step 5: you can see network option at right bottom of the taskbar, right click on it.

step 6: you can see there will be a 2 options, select open network and sharing system.

step 7: in "view activities" click "local area connection", a pop-up dialog box will appear.

step 8: click internet protocol version 4, in "general" sub menu, enter the IP address in following input values:

IP address:192.168.1.4

subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

default gateway:192.168.1.1

preferred DNS server: 8.8.8.8

alternate DNS server: 4.4.4.4, and click OK.
