Slack is basically a team communication application which provides lots of services like , realtime messaging , one-on-one messaging etc.

The bussiness model of Slack is freemium model that is they basically give us free version to use and once we get accoustomed to it we could subscribe for their better version with lots of advanced features such as more storage , statistics , inventory , archives etc.

It basically gets user hooked after they have used their free version thereby getting them subscribed to its paid version.
