Self - checkout provide a mechanism for customers to process their owned purchases from a retailer.

The steps followed in this self - checkout system to be possible are:-

Firstly, the products barcodes are scanned :- The scanned barcode through the barcode reader matches the system data for the product details and price. All the scanned product prices are calculated to generate the final amount.

Users bag their items as they scan them :- The weight observed in the bagging area is verified against previously stored information to ensure that the correct item is bagged, allowing the customer to proceed only if the observed and expected weights match.

The machine generate the bill for all the products owned including the final amount of the customer.

Lastly, the customers make payment for their products:- The payment is either done through cash or  the card payment.
