A large company has many different departments housed in a large office complex in the city. Each department has a database of local information. The company wants to let all the employees from around the company access any of these databases. What type of network would you recommend for such a situation? Explain your answer.

Wide Area Network (WAN) should be used for this type of situation

Reason: WAN is a computer network that spreads over a large geographical area and is established by the connect of several LANs (Local Area Network). In the above mentioned company, there are many different departments and every department have its database of local information. This database could be treated as LAN and they will be connected into one making a Wide Area Network which will let all the employees from around the company access any of these databases.
