Reaching an agreement on a set of requirements is very critical for any software project. This set of approved requirements is called the requirements baseline. In 1–2 paragraphs, explain what you need to go through until you can baseline a set of requirements and how can you do this baselining for agile projects.

Include the following in your answer:

  • The different stakeholders that need to be involved
    • Customers or end users
    • Developers
    • Testers
    • Management
  • The main considerations for these different stakeholders
    • The needs for the customers
    • The feasibility for the requirements to be implemented
    • The verifiability of these requirements
    • If these requirements achieve the business needs
  • How to handle requirements baselining for agile projects
    • The nature of agile projects
    • Where the project is divided into iterations

Software Projects will be providing a NEW LIFE FOR THE TOMORROW’S FUTURE . These projects are not developed in a one single day. There are hundred’s of days efforts made by each individual to make this project a success. But an idea for a project can be possible within a single minute. Lots of effort is needed to make it a complete working prototype. Before doing an individual project there are mainly three process that is :

  1. Idea generating : Here from small resource within our surroundings we generate a small which can even change tomorrow’s future for development.
  2. Innovation : Then we can bring new changes to our ideas.
  3. Incubating : In this stage we are developing the entire to final product.

For a project there are different stages involved from scratch. Before the project release there will be set baseline requirements which should followed. The release of project means it should completely deliver the product feature as mentioned by the client. When the stakeholders sign off the requirements what the project is to done. Some baseline rules need to be followed such as

  • Business Rule : Any effect has been caused in the system or not or whether the system is working properly with the rules stakeholders as mentioned before starting.
  • Customer perspective : After checking by the customer if any changes are needed it should be done by the developer according to the client request.
  • Interfaces : When we a developing a project there are hardware’s and software’s. In hardware we have to interface certain modules so we have to check all those modules are properly interfaced.
  • Model Validation : We have to check the respective models and identify those models and do the test cases also for those models .
  • Prototype : The prototype will provide how the exact model will look like and it give additional advantage for the developer.
  • Customer Reviews : This must be checked from time to time. So if an issue occur we can correct it accordingly.

A baseline is a reference point for the software development life cycle. The baseline will provide the progress in the project development. By this the client can make assessment about the future project work. Agile project is an interactive approach for delivering the stages of project life cycle. During this method there are several iterations or incremental steps for completion of the project. Iterative approach is mainly for the software development and it will be linear form of graph. In agile project management the entire project is divided into small units. So that a team collaboration is possible for effective development. This type of methodology helps so learn and produce good result. The steps involved for development of project is :

  • Requirements : During this stage the client will approach the company for a project and client will say about the requirements. In this stage a functional baseline is created. During this stage the company can provide a estimate cost for the development based on their needs.
  • Primary Design : During this period a primary design will be made and according the future development will be taking place. This is mainly allocated baseline.
  • Detail Design : Here detailed development according to the client will be made and this process of baseline is design baseline.
  • Build and Test : During this stage we can test the prototype and make necessary changes needed for it. This is mainly product baseline.
  • Deploy : Here in this stage the product will be fully finished and hand over to the client. This stage operational baseline will be performed.
  • Maintenance : when any error occur after months it need to be rectified immediately.
  • Cost estimation : It should be done in each stage and all records should be properly maintained.

All those requirements needed to be achieved for a project in company from scratch to the final deployment stage.
