  1. Where do I find the address range (in memory) for your NIC card?
  2. A new computer system is connected to the network switch. The system complains that a network cable is unplugged. The user notices that the link light is not "on" the port indicator on the switch. What could be wrong? How can it be fixed?

The NIC card is found near the USB port. If NIC is a separate card, it could be on the computer back with a PCI slot. The address range can be found with RAM start address. The common address range starts with D8000.

When the system is connected and light is on, it indicates active connection. If not, it can indicate a failure or that err in the port is disabled. The problem can be solved by checking the configuration and ARP cache. The issue could be with VLAN as well. One needs to check if the connection on VLAN exists for the system.
