Homework Answers

Answer #1

Ans.)

Stakeholder interviews are usually associated with “Waterfall” styles of Software Development Life Cycles (SDLCs). They are a traditional process for eliciting requirements and focus on the perspectives and perceived needs of the stakeholder. They may provide a good understanding of the stakeholder’s unique business processes and business rules, and the in-person nature of the interviews provides a more relaxed environment where concepts and ideas may be thoroughly investigated.

It is also important to interview user and stakeholders because -

  • System analysis can seek an understanding of the business and the business problems faced by the user before designing the system
  • System analysis need information about behavior of current system or requirements for a new system
  • System analysis need to verify understanding (informal review of analysis)
