There are two different types of Network storage
devices:
- NAS (Network attached storage)
- SAN (Storage area network)
- NAS stands for network attached storage is a type of network
storage devices that share files and documents in the Ethernet. It
is cheaper than SAN and can control several devices in a small area
like home and small scale busniess. It has a speed of 100 Mbps to
1Gbps.
- SAN stands for storage area network is also a type of network
storage that consists of multiple hosts that are connected to each
other. It is costly and it highly security ptotected. It has a
speed of 2Gbps to 123Gbps and can be used by the big scale
company.
