Answer #1

Steganography is the process of hiding a secret data within a group of data. The secret data can be extracted whenever required.

Consider, the secret data is infused in a image file.Initially, the secret data will be compressed and it is integrated into the group of data. There are two ways of compressing the data.

1. Lossy compression - It has loss of data.It removes redundancies and the accuracy of the data is low.

2. Lossless compression - No data is lost during lossless compression and the accuracy is high.

Hence,if lossless compression is used to compress the data, while retrieving it,we would get the exact same data before steganographed. This way the integrity of the data would be same and the data is with high accuracy.
