A method of employing many programs together in one computer through the multiprocessing. processing of several processes simultaneously with the utilization of several CPU's.

utilization of more than a single processor in order to do the single activity.  
context switching occurs in it. allows the parallel processing.    contains the parallel processing.
usually these sytems are not much in price. generally high cost.
