Explain how Incremental Back up works?

INCREMENTAL BACKUP:-
It is a backup type that only copy data that has been changed or created since previous backup activity has been done.Incremental backup approach is used when amount of data that has to be protected is greater is too voluminous to do full backup every day.It save backup time and disk space.It is common backup method as it require fewer resources.Incremental backup is "smart" backup .
HOW INCREMENTAL BACKUP WORKS:-
Incremental backup require one full backup then subsequent incrementals over period of time.
