•     Mass of tube (empty) = 1900g

•     Mass of tube and clay sample = 5280g

•     Mass of tube and clay sample after drying = 4850g.

  1. Calculate the water content, the bulk, and the dry densities (in kg/m3).
  1. If the particle specific gravity was 2.75, determine the void ratio and the percentage saturation of the clay and saturated density.
