There was misjudge of parameters and loading conditions during design of building. It Could be prevented at design stage, checking all the calculations and considering adequate safety factors.

The walkway design should have been kept single rod.

Other points which can be considered are :-

• If Havens has properly introduced the changes in suspension rods design.
• If improperly changed details had been observed and corrected by gillum.
• If rods sizes would be as per code approved stresses
• If redundant suspension rods were there in design
