Remedy to prevent lateral movement of cantilever retaining wall- it depends on types of strata of soil present there.

1. If there is rocky area then we can use rock bolts or rock anchoring.
2. If there is soil then we can use tensioning anchor's which can be stabilized by groting.
3. If it is possible then provide shear key at the base of retaining wall.

4. By providing buttres, Buttres is provided between stem and toe.

5. By providing Counter fort, Counterfort is provided between stem and heel

6. If it is possible the we can do Pressure grouting to stablized the soil .
