As a contractor i should use angular shape because Dam is most important structure from safety point of view and for the angular aggregates there is an interlocking between the aggregates and we get higher strength as compare to rounded shape aggregates.

Maximum Size of aggregates is 32 mm because it reduces the cement content and reduces the heat of hydration

by reducing surface area..
