In an 8-hr. day, the crew could install 2,000 sf of decking. And the work could be completed in 100 days (200,000/2,000). Before the work begins, the contractor decided to shorten the work duration to less than 100-day. What will be the new project duration, if the contractor decides to increase the workforce by 10% and work 9-hour a day?

when the workforce increased by 10 per cent, new workforce output,r= (250*110)/100=275sf/hour

New number of hours working in a day=9hours

the new project duration =Total quality to install/New output per day

=200,000sf/2475sf/day=80.8days=80days7hours and 12 minutes.
