When two or more gages are in a quadrant, how does the Inverse Distance Weighting method reconcile which gage to use?

In Inverse Distance Weighing Method , as the name suggests ,the gauge which is closer to the prediction location is used rather than the gauge farther away from the prediction location.

As , the properties of a location are similar in the place near to it than on places which lie further away from it , the gauges in the quadrant which lies closer to the prediction location is given more weight than those gauges which are located farther away from the prediction location.

The intensity ,I from a point source decreases with the inverse square of the distance,r from the source.Suppose that you are listening to your favourite music coming away from a speaker(regarded as a point source and in an open area) placed exactly r1 from you.then you suddenly decide to move away to a new position ,r2 which is exactly twice as far away from the speaker. Coriolis' alternative method for finding work can be used to estimate the relative stopping distance for a car given the car's speed. For this application of Coriolis' alternative method, the force of friction is in the opposite direction of the motion of the car on which that frictional force is acting, and the "work required to stop the car" (sometimes called "the work done by friction") is equivalent to the amount of mechanical energy converted to thermal energy by the...

Assuming two vectors are both located somewhere on the xy-plane, how could you use the right-hand rule to determine whether their cross product would point in the positive z-direction (above the plane) or the negative z-direction (below the plane)? Do not make reference to which quadrant these vectors are in, since they could be in the same quadrant or each could be in any quadrant. Consider instead the order of the vectors in the cross product.
