The following information was obtained at site: Length of skid marks = 420 , 435 and 425 feet A trial run was conducted at the site under similar conditions and showed : Length of skid mark = 360 feet Speed of trial run = 35 mph Examination of the bridge structure indicated that the vehicle was traveling at a conservative speed of 30 mph when it hit the abutment What is the initial speed of the vehicle ?
