What is anisotropic modelling of anchoring? Explain
with respect to locking and popping in rocks?
Don't copy and answer only if you are sure.I will rate.
Anisotropic modelling of anchoring is done in order to determine the hold of rock structure using any simulating software that uses finite element method. It is done to get the exact measure of stresses that a rock would be subjected to when it is anchored.
During popping and locking stresses are applied to rocks so that the cracks diminish or propogate according to the loading. These stresses are simulated with the help of some softwares to get the failure stresses of the rock specimen.
Thanks.Hope this works. If you have any doubt,do ask in comments.Thanks.
