A costal region which is considered site of oldest human settlements of world.
In 1920 it came to existence became republic in 1926 and get independence in 1943.
The country share many of its cultural attributes from neighbor arab country .
They have been providing asylum to diverse religious and ethnic groups.
Larger communities there are kurdish and armenian whereas minority are catholic christians.
Suffering from long civil war 1975-90 its economy suffered a lot. Though first 10 years its economy was resilient but later there value goes down. After re-emerging from this it again after there war with syria in 2011 and civil war crumbled its economy.
Corruption is a major setback though it is criminal activity there but bribes and gifts are wide spread activities.
Judicial and other administrative department takes bribe for favourable decision.

Corruption in form of gift is common to get favourable decisions from government entities.
Though police is controlled by administration but there isn't a mechanism to control and monitor corruption within them. Hence corruption is mazor setback for there country.
