During the planning phase of a commercial construction project, the architect prepared full
design documents (drawings, specifications, etc.), and he/she was paid for such services.
Nevertheless, the owner decided to not go with the project and sold the land to a new
employer. Is the new employer allowed to use the developed design documents to construct
the same project? Explain.
Yes, the new employer allowed to use the developed design documents to construct the same project but under the following conditions:
As a new employer he must make a suitable arrangements for planning ,designing and construction technic.if he had bought the land from the old employer that mean he had paid the all services.
If the architect made designs for same projecta his name still mentioned in it and he had paid for it so he should not have any legal right against the new employer.
