There are lots of dos and don'ts shown on the samples which come from the optional textbook "Job Placement Strategies for the Paralegal". All of the resumes' are geared for jobs in the legal industry. I strongly suggest you use them.

Purpose: To prepare a draft cover letter for job search.

Outcome: Demonstrate job search readiness by preparing an effective and accurate resume, cover letter and job application per instructor guidelines and standard law office procedure.

Assignment:

Draft a cover letter for yourself. Make sure you use the same letterhead you used for your resume and for your reference document. All your job search documents should be in same format and with same letterhead. Be consistent.

The cover letter needs to be in proper business letter format.
