Answer #1

Biological water quality parameters are,

Biological parameter is one of the most important water quality indicator.Biologist survey the fishes, aquatic plants, aquatic organisms and access the water quality.A water body with large number of well-balanced system indicates a healthy water system.Microorganisms exists every were in the nature, its presence, quantity also indicates the water quality

1.Bacteria

2.Virus

3.Algae

4.Indicator organisms

Bacteria- By counting the number of bacteria and its type in a sample collected from the water body helps us to determine the quality of water

Virus-It can be dictated in the same way as bacteria, presence of harmful virus pathogens causes many deadly diseases, and using disinfectant we can remove it easily from the sample

Algae-Algae convert inorganic matter into organic with the help of sunlight and convert taking carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen, algae cause bad odour and colour to water which is undesirable so it's presence can be dictated.Algae causes environmental and public health problems

Indicator organisms-Coliform bacteria is a very important biological indicator,A perticular coliform bacteria called E-coli if water is slightly poluted they will be very rare, and if pollution increase it will grow tremendously and hence quality of water can be detected by the quality of E-coli ,it is one of the most popular method used nowadays as it helps to give us a good result about water quality,it is expressed as number of organisms in 100ml of water

It is necessary to test the water quality as there will be many microorganisms present in it causing many serious health problems such as typhoid, Cholera etc

Testing the water and treating it to make it usable is important in maintaing public health, water quality standards must be considered while using it

If the quantity of E-coli is high we will not use it for our use and can be treated or can be used for other purposes
