SNEHA works with women in several parts of Mumbai such as the Dharav i slums to battle horrifying acts of physical violence. They counsel women and provide them with moral support. There also organize regular group sessions to spread awareness in order to prevent further abuse.

Throughout history and around the world, women have supported efforts to provide safety to women and girls at risk of harm, whether through faith-based institutions or community/family supports.
