Ans(a) : There are various benefits of buying a plan instead of hiring but many of the contractors prefer to hire the plant rather than buying it. Below we will see the different advantages of buying the construction plant by the contractors :

• More safety is being provided if the plant is owned by the contractor.
• Less tax has to be paid
• Only the initial cost of installation is high and after that the plant is permanent.
• No restrictions would be there for the contractor

As there are some benefits of the process but the condition is that the plant should be used for long time if the benefit is to be generated by it. For short term it is preferred to hire the plant instead of buying one as the cost of buying would be high and it would not be economical.

Ans(b) : Different records need to be maintained so that proper maintenance is being done after any plant is being bought by the owner or the contractor. Various kinds of works are needed so that maintenance work is completed and as the count of repair work is more, there should be proper record so that no thing is repeated as it would not be an economical process to do. For storage purpose also it is preferred to use the space or place that is not being considered to be used in future time for construction. By this they don't have to pay the rentals for the tools and equipments for the construction sit. It would be on a safer side to use the place within the plant for the storage facilities. For the minor repairs it is considered to use the engineers on the site or the fitters which will be used for the fitting purpose of electricity or various devices. It will be economic as different people would not be needed to be hired for the purpose and the major repairs need to be observed perfectly and is being carried out by the firms themselves.

Ans(c) : For the maintenance of the plant there would be various requirements as the machinery in the plant would be in need of maintenance after some use or after a fixed interval. Below are the requirements that would be needed to fulfill so that the work progresses nonstop.

• All the machinery should be arranged and be available for the use and maintenance.
• Proper mechanics or the repair person should be provided for the work
• All the tools and equipments should be available
• The time of regular maintenance should not exceed.

All the above things should be done prior to the maintenance of the machinery work so that all work is being done smoothly and without any problem in the guidance of the officials.
