So , 1 Quads = 10¹⁵ / (39.68 x 10⁶) TOE

= 0.025 x 10⁹ TOE

= 0.025 GTOE (because 1 Gigaton of oil equivalent (GTOE) is equal to 10⁹ TOE )

1 TOE = 41.87 Gigajoules (GJ)
