You have to a design a flexible highway pavement with soaked CBR value of soil subgrade equal to 4%. Draw a typical cross-section of the pavement as considered currently worldwide.

Homework Answers

Answer #1

CBR value can be calculated for subgrade in two conditions ;Soaked and unsoaked .For soaked CBR test soil sample is kept in water for 4 days and it represent least strength of subgrade . So from this CBR value we get maximum thickness of flexible pavement. Now see the solution. Hope it will help you. Feel free to ask any doubt in comment section. Thank you.
