In hottest days of summer, power demand surges like anything. Demand outplaces available energy very quickly and as a result grid may collapse or it can't bare the huge demand. Then Load shedding idea worked very well. Load shedding can be done in many ways and controlling light is one of them.

Light is dimmed to some percentage so that the power consumption will become less and surge in demand will be slow.

This need three steps of work

1. Install new ballasts(made for light controll)

2. Relamp the ballasts with compatible, highly efficient lamps

3. Istall the power line injector at lighting control bos or circuit breaker.

The injector line adds signals to the power lines and it is plugged into a automation system or in some cases connected to internet which can recieve signals from power company.
