During manufacturing

Carbonization will take place

The temperature causes the atoms in the carbon fiber to vibrate violently.

the non-carbon atoms will come out. This process is called carbonization.

As a result fiber will become long and tightly.

The mechanical properties are dependent on the structure of fibres

Examples

Mucilage, beta-glucans fibres - soluble (mechanical property)

Cellulose -Insoluble(mechanical property)

Using glass fibres increases the flexural strength.
