For grade-level structures such as building slabs and highway pavements (no deep foundations), other approaches to the control of the frost heave problem are taken. What does the control requires to achieve forest heave problem?
Need explanation and step by step solution and without plagrism
Frost heave means swelling of soil due to frost condition mainly in the cold climatic area i.e due to cold, water in the upper layer of soil is freezed due to capillary action. It is also happend in the concrete, where the water in the top layer of soil beneath the concrete is frozed, due to frozen crack or potholes generates into the concrete. To control the frost heave in the concrete grade-level structures, it is required maintain proper insulation by installing hydronic ground heating system in the concrete, that can melt the ice in the soil.
