Answer #1

Main objectives of a well log :

a) It aims to determine the suitability of the well for its intended use in the long run.

b) It objects the feasibility of extraction of oil/gas from by using borehole and logging data.

Objectives of calculating the oil reserves in an oil pool :

a) It provides us the suitability of financial feasibility of oil. Means the current oil rate profit or loss can be monitored continuosly.

b) Real time monitoring can be maintained and done for how much oil in the region is actually extractable.

Recording of data during Well logging is done from bottom to surface of the well being drilled as the well logging data of the rock properties with respect to the fluid properties is plotted as a graph which needs to be continuous if we plot in opposite manner we will get discontinuity.

Lab 9 – Molecular Biology In this lab, you will prepare an agarose gel and use gel electrophoresis to compare the size of 2 dye molecules Methyl orange and Ponceau G. You will also analyze an “unknown” sample that contains a mixture of two dyes. Dye molecules with lower molecular weight or greater electrical charge will migrate faster through the gel, than dye molecules with greater molecular weights or lesser electrical charge. Materials: Mini gel electrophoresis chamber 6 Tooth comb...
