Answer #1

Hope it helps.

Soil exploration is a process in which the profile of natural soil deposit is taken into consideration. The planning is affected by the nature of subsoil and its structure.

The soil further tested in laboratory and in site. In situ test involve standard penetration test, cone penetration test, vane shear test, plate load test etc. The result of soil exploration test is give detailed information of stiffness, strength, permeability, relative density, cohension, depth of water table etc. of soil present in a construction site.

From the informations like depth of water table, type of soil and its index proterties will makes it easier to find out bearing capacity of the soil.

Consider 14.61 moles of an ideal diatomic gas. (a) Find the total heat capacity of the gas at (i) constant volume and (ii) constant pressure assuming that the molecules translate and vibrate but do not rotate. Be sure to clearly explain how the equipartition of energy is used to solve this problem. (b) Repeat problem (a) above except assume that the molecules translate, rotate and vibrate.
