A Hammer was accidentally dropped downwards from a
5-star hotel building with
a height of 800 ft. Meanwhile, after 1.5 seconds, a ball is thrown
vertically upward from
the base of the building having a velocity of 225 ft/sec after.
Determine the time it takes
for these two objects to meet and at what point it will occur.
The problem is based on the rectilinear motion and acceleration due to gravity. Therefore rectilinear motion equations to be used as follows:
V=U+at
V2 = U2 + at2
and S= Ut + 0.5at2
