1.Subcritical , because static force is depends on depth of flow and flow depth is more in subcritical flow as compare ti supercritical flow.

2. false , conjugate depth is defined for hydraulic jump and in jump formation , energy is not conserve.

3. False - critical depth does not depend on manning coefficient. but normal depth is depends on manning coefficient.

4.Downstream , Control section at which fixed relationship exist between depth and discharge. If flow is subcritical then disturbance wave will travel in both Upstream and downstream ,since disturbance wave travels upstream aslo hence subcritical flow has conrol section in downstream.
