Air quality determines the quality of life of all living beings on earth.

Petroleum refining and the petrochemical industries are the main contributors to air pollution which significantly affects the quality of air.

The exhaust emission from engines, generators, gas compressors and pump engine are the major source from Petroleum Refining.

Due to the petroleum refining and petrochemical industries, there will be a major effect on the AQI(air quality index) which tells the level of pollution.

The major impats are-:

1. Acid Rain

2. Change in Climate.

3. Ocean Acidification.

The main Principle gases exhaust during petroleum processing-:

1. Carbon Dioxide

2. Methane

3. Nitrogen Dioxide

4. Carbon Monoxide

Some health impact due to emission of polluted gas from the petroleum industry-:

1. Shortness of Breathe

2. Fatigue

3. Headaches

4. Asthama

5. Nausea and LIver Failure
