3.- An ABCD series Piping system consists of 6000 m of 40cm pipe, 3000 m of 30 cm pipe and 1500 m of 20 cm pipe (C1 = 100). Calculate:

a) .- The flow when the head loss between A and D is 60 m. Consider f = 0.02

b) .- The equivalent length if the pipe were 30 cm.

c) .- The flow when the head loss between A and D is 60 m.

(a) Flow when head loss is 60 m. = 0.07469 m​​​​​​3/s = 74.69 litre/sec.

(b) Equivalent length of pipe when diameter is 30 cm. = 15814.45 m.

(c) Same as that of option (a), i.e. flow @ h = 60 m is 0.07469 m​​​​​​3​​​/s.
