As a pollution and Environmental control student suggest any three alternative for polythene bags as well as mention how these products suitable for environment and also suggest any two activities to promote these alternative materials.

Polyethylene bags are non bio degradable and hence cause environmental pollution.The following are the alternative for polyethylene bags.

1)As a replacement for polyethylene bags jute bags can be used as they have high tensile strength in fibres and perform better than any other bags.

2)To carry light weight to medium weight objects paper bags can be used and they are also biodegradable and do not harm the environment.

3) Bags made from cotton can also be used for groceries and vegetables and fruits as they are biodegradable

Activities:

1)Using jute bags and paper bags while purchasing groceries and vegetables can reduce the use of plastic.

2)Using paper made covering for foods while purchasing and delivery can reduce the plastic use and its pollution .
