PED :-

Decisions that are taken by the professional engineers.This type of decisions are generally technical decisions. The main function of engineers is to create structure using their knowledge (technical).

Example of PED :- decisions regarding technical issue that enables use of engineering standards and engineering codes. Such that decision related to designing , loading , material , quantity , quality .

PMD :-

Decision that are taken by the management of the organization or project managers. This type of decisions are generally cost , marketing and scheduling related. The main function of management is to direct the activities within the organisation.

Examples of PMD :- decision regarding cost , decision regarding employee welfare, decision regarding marketing and scheduling. Such that cost of any project , marketing of company , and issues related to employees of the organisation.
