I'm needing assistance calculating the flow rate of a venturi
Pipe diameter upstream of venturi, Da- 10in
Diameter of venturi neck, Db: 7 in
Pressure difference measured by venturi, Dp: 10 Pa
Fluid density, r: 1.29lb/in^3
Discharge Coefficient, C: 0.98.
[Please show me how these calculations were reached]
Venturimeter is a device used for measuring the rate of flow ofa a fluid flowing through a pipe. It is based on the Bernoulli's principle. Bernoullis equation is applied at the throat and upstream of venturimeter to derive the equation for flow rate.
