as you can see H2S looses its H+(proton) and donates to H2O and become HS-.

so H2S is acts as acid in this reaction.

b.NH4+ + H2O -------->NH3 + H3O+

as you can see NH4+ looses its H+(proton) and donates to H2O. and become NH3 .

so.NH4+  acts as  acid in this reaction.

Here we see that NH3 accepts a proton(H+) to become NH4+.
