The snail population is affected by different factors one of which is sedimentation and also turbidity.

The sedimentation may cause bury of juvenils and even adults.It also cause damage to eggs hence affecting the future growth of snails. However fine sediment partilces are less harmful than coarse particles of sediments.

Sedementation also restricts the sunlight to pass throught the water source directly. Hence in absence of sunlight the growht of snails are affected.

Organic feed abundant sediments helps in growht of snails. Snails are adapted to move and live in soft sediments.
