Why is titrant added rapidly at the beginning of a titrant but more slowly as the titration proceeds?
How does an end point differ from an eqivalence point?
Initially, the titrant is added rapidly to make the reaction happen at a faster rate. But near to the end point, the reaction is about to get over. Hence the titrant is added slowly drop wise so as to see at which point the reaction is complete and end point is reached. The reaction completion is determined by the change in the indicator colour.
The equivalence point is the point where the actual chemical reaction is complete.
The end point is the point where the indicator changes the colour.
