a)

in given reaction 2 moles of NaN3 gives 3 moles of N2

1 mole of NaN3 gives 3/2 moles of N2

given 52 g of NaN3

molar mass of NaN3 = 65 g/mol

no of moles of NaN3 intially present = 52 g/ 65 g/mol = 0.8 mol of NaN3

so 0.8 moles of NaN3 will give = 0.8 * 3/2 moles of N2 = 1.2 moles of N2   Answer a)

considering this as ideal gas

PV = NRT

V = NRT/P = 1.2 * 0.0821 * ( 273+27) / 1 = 29.556 L Answer b)
