What is the difference between a digital read out micropipette and an analogue micropipette? How many significant figures are there in an 1 mL micropipette, I have to determine how many sig figs I would report the volume in mL of a 1000 uL pipette (1mL) and i'm not sure if its 4 sig figs or 5
The main difference between is digital read out micropipette is more accurate than an analogue micropipette, because there will be human eye parallax errors are possible in analogue micropipette during volume adjustment and also from calibration errors.
1 mL = 1000 µL, hence there should be 4 sig figs are there.
