How many grams of potassium iodide would you need to make 250 mL of a 0.624 M solution of potassium iodide?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

molarity of KI solution = 0.624 M

volume of solution       = 250ml   = 0.25L

no of moles of KI     = molarity * volume in L

                                  = 0.624*0.25   =0.156 moles

mass of KI             = no of moles * gram molar mass

                               = 0.156*166   = 25.896g >>>>>answer
